Loyalty Partner GmbH
Headquartered in Munich, Loyalty Partner GmbH was founded in 1998 and is a specialist for innovative customer management. Its partners include the British private equity company Palamon Capital Partners, METRO AG, the company founder Alexander Rittweger, and Roland Berger. Among its products is the PAYBACK bonus program, the biggest and most successful of its kind in Germany. PAYBACK helps retailers grow their sales while at the same time increasing customer satisfaction and loyalty. Numerous household names such as Aral, the dm toiletries chain, the kitchenware company WMF, Real and Galeria Kaufhof are currently PAYBACK partners. PAYBACK was launched in March 2000. Today there is a PAYBACK card in some two thirds of Germany’s households.
Customer management specialist
In addition to PAYBACK, Loyalty Partner also provides tailor-made, effective CRM solutions ranging from the conception and implementation of new customer loyalty programs to the management of existing processes. One prominent customer is German rail operator Deutsche Bahn AG, for whom Loyalty Partner handles all CRM activities. These include the creation of an integrated system platform for customer retention, operational management of the entire railcard range (BahnCard, bahn.comfort and bahn.bonus) and the coordination of all service providers involved.
Bonus points boost loyalty
Loyalty Partner is always on the lookout for new ideas and concepts for the retail industry. As a selected supplier of the real,- Future Store, it has set up a PAYBACK system which enables customers to collect bonus points for every single purchase and redeem them on-site. Via in-store information terminals, cardholders can check their bonus points whenever they visit the store. This service is also available to customers in other Real outlets and in Galeria Kaufhof stores. Both of these METRO GROUP sales divisions participate in the bonus program.
SELECTED PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
PAYBACK Classic
PAYBACK is Germany’s biggest and most successful bonus program. For purchases through a participating retailer, PAYBACK cardholders receive bonus points which can be exchanged for attractive prizes. The card is a free offer and, with annual savings from 80 to 150 euros, well worth taking advantage of. Around two thirds of all German households now own and use a PAYBACK card. Moreover, surveys by the renowned Emnid market research institute show that in terms of sympathy and benefits, consumers rank PAYBACK higher than any other bonus program. PAYBACK cards are currently accepted by some 20 well-known retail companies and around 40 online companies.
PAYBACK Plus
Launched in 2007 at the request of many customers, the PAYBACK Plus card is offered free of charge. In addition to collecting bonus points, the upgraded version can be used for cashless payments at selected PAYBACK partners. As with a normal cash card, a device at the checkout automatically registers all relevant details and the purchase is then debited from the cardholder’s bank account either in full or in monthly installments, as specified when applying for the card. PAYBACK transactions go through the cardholder’s normal bank account; there is no need to set up a separate account.
PAYBACK Premium
Together with BW-Bank and Visa, PAYBACK now has its own very attractive credit card offer enabling customers to draw money at cash points all over the world without a transaction fee. For purchases through non-PAYBACK retailers, PAYBACK Premium cardholders automatically receive additional bonus points. Cardholders gain similar benefits when booking travel documents or trips through www.payback-reisen.de. Additional discounts and benefits are also available when the bonus points are redeemed. The PAYBACK Premium card is free of charge for the first year.
