New real,- app one of the most frequently downloaded iPhone applications

The new real,- app is very popular among the iPhone community. Only a few days after its launch, this application had already been downloaded more than 20,000 times and made it to rank three within the category "lifestyle" on the download chart in the German App Store.

The real,- app is
available for iPhone-
and iPod touch-users.

The app was developed by the department Retail Innovation of MGI and Real in the framework of the IT Innovation Management of METRO Group. The real,- app is the result of the Mobile Commerce Programme of the METRO GROUP Future Store Initiative, which also includes the "Mobile real,- Shopping List", an application that is now available for more than 600 different mobile phone models.

Online services available for mobile phones

With the free application, iPhone-users can access tried and tested online services with their mobile phones. This way, customers can find the location of the nearest Real hypermarket via Google Maps or view the Real cooking show with renowned chef Armin Auer via their mobile phone. Moreover, the software allows creating a mobile shopping list.
