The world’s leading mobile communication fair, the Mobile World Congress, will be held in the sixth edition this year. More than 1,300 international exhibitors will present the latest technologies and services around the mobile phone in Barcelona. This year, the METRO GROUP Future Store Initiative will participate in the joint stand of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia (Hall 1/ Stands B13 and B01). The presentation will focus on mobile shopping. The initiative will in particular showcase apps for smartphones that facilitate shopping for private and professional customers.

At the end of February 2011 the international retail fair EuroShop will be hosted in Duesseldorf for the 17th time. On an exhibition space of over 200,000 square meters, more than 1,800 exhibitors from over 50 countries will present themselves with innovative products, problem solutions and services around the topic of retail. The METRO GROUP Future Store Initiative will this year participate in a joint presentation with the POPAI association (Point-of-Purchase Advertising International). The trade fair stand will focus on the following topic: mobile shopping. Presentations include smartphone Apps that allow for convenient shopping via the mobile Internet.
