Unique in Europe

The  European EPC Competence Center (EECC) was established by GS1 Germany, Deutsche Post World Net, Karstadt Warenhaus GmbH and METRO GROUP and prepares companies from all industries for their RFID rollout. It is integrated into the METRO GROUP RFID Innovation Center in Neuss and offers users, manufacturers and service providers from all industries the possibility to test the performance of RFID transponders. EECC experts test the typical attributes of RFID transponders or develop tailored solutions on behalf of companies.

In September 2005, EPCglobal accredited the 500-square-meter test lab by awarding it the title "EPCglobal Performance Test Center." This means that the EECC is an independent and reliable test platform working according to uniform global standards. Its services are complemented by extensive training measures  and information events.
