Customer care is our main focus

Service sector companies like banks and restaurants place great emphasis on high-quality customer care. To remain competitive, they have to make life as easy as possible for their customers, and also need to react quickly to customer demands. RFID can help in doing this.

 Bill, please!

In the USA, credit cards are the most popular form of payment; most Americans even pay small amounts using them. Cards with a built-in RFID transponder, like American Express, now offer even more convenience. Owners of these ExpressPay cards simply have to hold their cards up to the reader at the checkout in McDonald’s, at gas stations, cinemas or stores, and the correct amount is automatically billed. Transactions of under 25 dollars do not even require a signature.

 Price in the plate

In order to reduce waiting times at the checkout, Stuttgart's DaimlerChrysler Bank has introduced an RFID system in its canteen. The transponders are integrated into the plates. Writing and reading devices are integrated at the food station and checkouts. If the service personnel hand out a dish, the price is saved in the plate itself. At the checkouts, a reader records all the dishes on one tray. The guests then identify themselves with a payment card and the amount due is automatically billed.
