 Enhancing customer service

As a Silver Partner of the METRO GROUP Future Store Initiative, Impinj participated in a pilot project focused on the application of RFID at the consumer-goods level. Working together with partners, Impinj developed an end-to-end RFID solution in the menswear department at Galeria Kaufhof in Essen. The project simplified retail workflows by applying a uniform RFID infrastructure based on UHF Gen 2 tags, readers, and antennas at various points throughout the store.
The real,- Future Store also houses Impinj’s RFID solutions. In the butchery, METRO GROUP uses Impinj’s innovative RFID tags, readers, and antennas to ensure complete quality control by guaranteeing freshness, increasing customer safety and efficiently managing inventory of meat products. With such successful deployments, Impinj has positioned itself as the leading innovator in item-level UHF RFID solutions.
