 Shopping Assistants

 

At Metro Cash & Carry, customers have the option of using a Metro Shopping Assistant, MASSI for short. The small, mobile computer offers customers tailored price and sales information, and that is just the beginning.  Self-Checkout

 

Some  real,- hypermarkets offer customers an alternative to the traditional checkout: at the Self-Checkout, users can scan and pay for their products by themselves. All they have to do is scan the barcode of each product individually. Then the products are packed in a shopping bag, the weight of which is compared against the products scanned. If the weight differs then a member of staff is alerted. After all products are packed, the customer can pay at the same terminal.
